I enjoyed the unique decoration and atmosphere of the hotel. The historical building had a charm that made my stay feel like an adventure. The common areas were spacious and well-maintained, providing a comfortable space for gathering with friends and colleagues. As a senior, I appreciated the accessibility of the hotel, with easy navigation and no stairs that were too steep or difficult to climb.
The only thing I would ask for to make the vacation better for senior people is for the central light in the rooms to be brighter. The dim lighting made it a bit challenging to focus on tasks without having to rely heavily on the bed/table lights.

Reasonable price, convenience, and modern amenities. Unique and unusual experience. The hotel was a converted prison with a small museum on the first floor, which was really interesting. Linen was provided and there was free parking in front of the building during the night. The check-in process was smooth with a code sent through SMS. The staff was friendly and professional, and the toilets and communal facilities were clean.
The room was quite small, almost like a prison cell. The walls were thin, so noise from other guests could be heard easily, making it difficult to sleep peacefully.

Former prison, renovated, wifi in rooms, clean shared facilities, kitchen for guests. Easy walk to center and university. Luggage delivered to room. Breakfast as expected with Scandinavian items.

A lot of goodies for breakfast. Very friendly and extremely friendly staff during our stay. Location just off the downtown area, the city, transport, airport shuttle and far enough so there was n't too much traffic. For tea or coffee visit Cafe Pilgatan nearby.

I chose this hotel for attending a brainstorming session and it provided a conference room for up to 38 people. The conference room was suitable for meetings, briefings, and served as a communication center for associations and sport groups. It was a different place to hold meetings, courses, and trainings.
The only service that I missed for my work was.

The value for money at this hotel was excellent. The room, although small, was comfortable and stylish. The location was convenient, close to the town center and some nice restaurants. The staff were incredibly helpful and polite, making my stay even more enjoyable.
The morning meal could have been improved with a wider variety of options.

The interior, designed using the structure of the prison, was fascinating and well-maintained. The rooms were surprisingly clean, and despite being former prison cells, they provided a cozy and comfortable atmosphere for our family. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and were incredibly friendly throughout our stay. The location was also ideal, with the highest building in Umea nearby, offering free and interesting exhibitions for us to explore. We highly recommend this hostel to families looking for a one-of-a-kind experience in Umea!
For dads, it would be great if the hostel offered more family-friendly amenities or activities for children.

The hotel was like a time machine, transporting me to a different era. The gallery outside the cells added a touch of sophistication. The Annex provided privacy while still being part of the historic experience.
Who needs modern amenities? I loved feeling a bit chilly and the basic toilets added to the rustic charm.

Jon
Beautiful atmosphere, natural materials, clean showers, provided soap, free towel and bathrobe, ideal for solo travelers.
There was nothing I didn't like.
